geometric tapestries
Geomorphic Tapestries consists of four assemblies of weathered steel fins that are suspended from a new hotel entryway. The sculpture aims to explore the relationship between natural, geological formations and human-made structures. The weathered steel fins represent the erosion and weathering of rocks, while the geometric shapes and patterns in the sculpture mimic the formations found in nature. The overall effect is a striking visual representation of the interplay between the natural world and human intervention.
